Coming May 17th

Faith is a creative act that pushes us beyond our sensory input to a realm of intuition, emotion, and gratitude. By faith we grope with our own unseen nature, the image of God, and can come to truly know our calling--the Latin word for vocation. By faith meaning is unveiled rather than projected. By faith we know there is Truth that measures right and wrong, not societal norms or collective. By faith we know that we are free because of Christ Jesus, not a patriotic document. And it is by faith that we articulate our beliefs, prayers, and worship through art.

These are not new ideas for the Christian artist. Art and theology so resemble each other they seamlessly meld into a poem, a painting, a photograph, a pot, and thousands of other mediums. It is through faith that art reaches to and shelters the transcendent, to be graced by "things not seen." And it is through art that we "ascribe to the Lord the Glory due his name...an offering."
