Reverend Kristy Burnette
Pastor Kristy Burnette has served as pastor of JUMC since July, 2022. She is an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church and has served five appointments since 2007. She received a Master of Divinity degree from Hood Theological Seminary. She loves serving in the local church and is passionate about sharing God's healing message of hope with a hurting world . She believes strongly that ALL people are of sacred worth and created in the image of God. Kristy and her husband, Dewayne have two children, Kacey Battaglia (Anthony) and Gary Burnette (Tracey). The loves of their lives are their three grandchildren, Alayna and Jesse Burnette and Jack Battaglia. In their spare time they enjoy RVing, always looking for the next adventure.
