Get Involved
Feel free to get involved in several areas of our church. You don't have to be a member to start. You can help out in our food pantry by picking up food or loading boxes. You can sing in the choir or play handbells. You can attend our fellowship meals on Wednesday nights. You can go out to eat with our Active Adults. Your children can attend youth or play in our handbell choirs.

Outreach Ministry
He said to him, “ You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:37-39
At Jefferson UMC we are excited about being an active, supportive part of our larger community. We partner with several groups who use the facilities: American Red Cross, Jefferson Quilters Guild, Jefferson Breakdown, Partnership of Ashe and Narcotics Anonymous just to name a few. On the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month we offer a free community meal from 5-6:30 PM. We are also in the final stages of completing the Jefferson UMC Green Space. This space to pray and play is available for use by the wider community. It offers a prayer walk, benches and open green space. Picnic tables and a playground will be installed soon.
As a congregation, it is important to us to connect with our neighbors.
Music
Jefferson has a vibrant music ministry led by Music Director Anthony Benson. The choir performs most Sunday mornings, also offering seasonal cantatas and special worship events. The handbell choir, led by Clay Camp, shares monthly offerings during worship and during other special worship events throughout the year.
